Space concept
More flexibility. More options.
The front seats with high seating position in the new T-Cross provide good all-round visibility. The T-Cross also proves itself to be a real quick-change artist with its flexible interior concept: the movable and folding rear bench provides more storage space or seating comfort if needed. In addition, the backrest of the passenger seat can optionally be folded down completely, giving you even more luggage space. Practical if you want to transport bulky objects up to 2.4 m long. The space concept is rounded off by storage compartments and pockets, cup holders and a smartphone holder in the centre console.
Travel Assist
The optional Travel Assist function from Life onwards, provides you with extremely useful driving assistance on board. It can keep you in your lane, and maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set.
Among other things, it uses adaptive lane guidance to do this. This actively keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane. Travel Assist adapts to your driving style and can also drive further to the left or right in its own lane instead of exactly in the middle.
In combination with a navigation system, Travel Assist is extended by predictive cruise control and cornering assistance. This means that Travel Assist can adapt the vehicle’s speed to the relevant speed limits and the road layout (bends, roundabouts) etc.
Park Assist
Your Volkswagen with optional Park Assist from Life onwards can not only tell you whether a parking space is big enough as you drive by it also parks for you. Up to a speed of 40 km/h, Park Assist permanently searches for suitable parallel parking spaces. Up to a speed of 20 km/h it also searches for parking bays.
Once you have decided on one of the parking spaces found, you start the parking process, with Park Assist taking over the steering. You just need to operate the accelerator and brake and monitor the process.
Park Assist can also drive the vehicle out of parallel parking spaces again.
ACC and Front Assist
Adaptive Cruise Control ACC, optional from Life onwards, helps you to maintain a previously set maximum speed and preset minimum distance to the vehicle in front. In combination with a navigation system, ACC is extended by predictive cruise control and cornering assistance.
This means that ACC can adapt the vehicle’s speed to the relevant speed limits and the road layout (bends roundabouts etc.).
Emergency Assist
Monotonous drives can occasionally lead to risky situations. That's where Lane Assist proves its value: at speeds of 60 km/h and above, it detects when the vehicle drifts out of its lane. By providing corrective steering, it helps refocus the driver’s attention on the road.
Rear View
The Rear View camera system, optional from Life onwards, enables you to keep an eye on your surroundings when reversing: the area behind the vehicle covered by the camera is shown on the display of your infotainment system. In addition, Rear View inserts guide lines that make it easier for you to judge the distance correctly.
Parking aid including manoeuvre braking
The Park Distance Control can alert you to obstacles detected in front of or behind your Volkswagen not only acoustically but also visually via a display in the infotainment system.
The manoeuvre braking integrated in the Park Distance Control can reduce the severity of a collision, or avoid a collision altogether, when reversing at speeds of up to 10 km/h. The manoeuvre braking can also be activated at the touch of a button when driving forwards
Dynamic Light Assist
The advanced main-beam control Dynamic Light Assist (optional in Life and Comes standard in Style and R-Line) improves visibility at night. The system can detect oncoming vehicles and vehicles ahead and automatically mask the corresponding areas of your main beam headlights.
In built-up areas, the vehicle also switches automatically from the main beam to the dipped beam. This means that you can drive for longer and more often with the main beam on. Streets are thus better illuminated and obstacles can be detected earlier.
